UC Davis

On January 30, 2017, the ASWA gave a presentation and tasting event for the viticulture and enology students and faculty at the famous U.C. Davis program. The evening included a brief lecture by Dave Barber, ASWA Competition Chairman and Secretary, on the history of East Coast wine development and a brief lecture on the state of the present-day East Coast wine industry by Grant Crandall, President of the ASWA. The presentations were followed by a lengthy tasting of more than 60 wines including many of the gold medal winners from the July 2016 ASWA Wine Competition. There was very considerable interest in the wide gamut of high quality wines provided from the East Coast industry.
