ASWA award winner Jefferson2016 Meritage by Jefferson Vineyards, VA A classic blend using all five Bordeaux varietals: 55% petit verdot, 25% merlot, 10% cabernet sauvignon, 7% cabernet franc, 3% malbec, notable for the major share being petit verdot. Good acidity and tannin yet delicate with red fruit, spice notes and a hint of violet on the palate.

ASWA award winner Winery at Bull Run2018 Cabernet Franc by The Winery at Bull Run, VA. 100% cabernet franc from estate vineyards at Rock Mill, Stoney Brook, Willowcroft and Silver Creek.

Fermented in open tanks, punched down twice daily for 12–14 days then pressed off the skins, this wine was aged for 9 months in 80% neutral/20% new American oak. Spice, smoke and cherry define this complex and deeply flavored wine.

ASWA Winner Slater Run First Bridge2016 First Bridge by Slater Run Vineyards, VA – Gentle handling is the key to the richness of this 44% cabernet franc, 26% merlot, 25% cabernet sauvignon, 5% petit verdot blend. The grapes were hand-harvested and hand-bottled.

Vinified separately, each variety underwent malolactic fermentation in barrel, then were racked into French oak for 16 months. 70% estate grapes, 100% Virginia fruit.

Named after the youngest member of the Hickox Family, Lilly’s sister Delaney also has a wine named in her honor. Parents Jon and Kim have been making fine wine at Bull Run since 2012.
