2013 Hosted Luncheon
The Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association's West Coast Representative, Anne Vercelli, hosted a luncheon in her home on the 3rd of February to highlight atlantic seaboard wines from the 8th annual ASWA wine competition. A dozen wines were served including the following:
Barboursville (VA), 2008 Octagon (bordeaux blend)
Fox Mountain (VA), 2009 Cabernet Franc
Knob Hall Vyds (MD), NV, Le Reve Rouge (Chambourcin & Vidal Blanc)
Natali Vyds (NJ), Dolcetto NV
Vyds of the Scruppernong (NC), NV, Simply Scruppernong (Carlos & Niagara)
Wagner Vyds (NY), 2010 Dry Riesling
The guests were greeted by an array of sparkling wines:
Plagdido Vys (NJ), Sparkling White (Fredonia & Concord)
Veritas Vyds (VA), NV Scintilla (Chardonnay & Cabernet Franc)
Wolf Mountain Vyds (GA), 2010 Blanc de Blanc Brut (Chardonnay)
This is the bottle of Natali Vineyards' Dolcetto served at the ASWA 3 Feb 2013 luncheon hosted by the ASWA West Coast Representative, Anne Vercelli of Healdsburg, CA.
This is the bottle of Knob Hall Winery's Le Reve Rouge served at the 3 February luncheon hosted by ASWA's West Coast Representative, Anne Vercelli, of Healdsburg, CA. Le Reve Rouge is a blend of Chambourcin and Vidal Blanc. Knob Hall is located in Maryland.
This is the bottle of Barboursville Winery's 2008 Octagon ( Bordeaux Blend) served at the 3 February luncheon hosted by ASWA's West Coast Representative, Anne Vercelli, of Healdsburg, CA. Barboursville winery is located in Virginia.

At Anne Vercelli's hosted luncheon we have here on the left Steve Ganer formerly of KSRO the Good Food Hour and on the right Rick Hutchinson the owner and wine-maker of Amphora Winery a small boutique winery specializing in crafted wines from the dry creek valley area. His Zinfandels and Pinot Noirs are notable.
At Anne Vercelli's hosted luncheon we have on the left Debra del Fiorentino Vineyard and Winery Management's National Wine competition Director along with Mary Traverso on the right enjoying some wines from the atlantic seaboard.
At the luncheon we have on the left Nanette Garner wife of Steve Garner and in the center Ken Landis chef and owner of Landis Shores Resort in Half Moon Bay getting friendly with the hostess Ms. Anne Vercelli with plenty of atlantic seaboard wines in front of them.
At the end of the hosted luncheon we have a number of guest relaxing before leaving. On the left is Ken Landis owner and chef of Landis Shores Resort in Half Moon Bay with his wife Ellen Landis sommelier at Landis Shorts, but also write writer. Debra del Fiorentino from Vineyard and Winery Management and the hostess of the afternoon, Ms. Anne Vercelli followed by ASWA Vice President, David Barber and finally on the right,Rick Hutchinson of Amphora Winery in Dry Creek Valley.
