• This mouth-filling red blend – 55% petit verdot, 27% tannat, 18% merlot – is named for the year the Rose family purchased their farm. The Roses report 2019 was a good vintage with nicely balanced acids, sugars, and flavors. The wine features an  intriguing melding of chocolate and coffee notes supported by a substantial amount of American oak and balanced with a hint of violet. Mixing up the traditional Bordeaux grapes and their proportions truly has paid off in this unique Virginia red wine.
